Overview

Rishikesh, where the Ganges pours out of the Himalayan foothills, has been a centre for yoga and meditation for generations. This circuit pairs a slower few days there — riverside yoga sessions, the suspension bridges of Lakshman Jhula, ashram visits — with an evening at Haridwar's Har Ki Pauri ghat for the Ganga Aarti, one of India's most striking river ceremonies.

  • Riverside yoga and meditation sessions in Rishikesh
  • The nightly Ganga Aarti fire ceremony at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar
